Stout Bowman & Associates is a fee-only, financial planning firm based in the Harrisburg, PA area. Stout Bowman’s focus is to make financial planning understandable and comfortable for clients. Founded by Mathew Stout and Marc Bowman, former affiliates of an independent broker dealer, Stout Bowman serves a growing client base of over 300 households, representing $85 million in AUM. With a small staff of 2 lead advisors and 2 newer advisors, Stout Bowman leverages technology to drive efficiencies and enhance the client service experience they provide to a large client base.
“We were fairly limited in what we could use at the broker dealer,” said Marc Bowman, Managing Partner for Stout Bowman. “Which is why we both left to form our RIA in order to take advantage of the latest technologies.”
As part of that technology focus, Stout Bowman set out to upgrade their existing performance reporting and billing systems. “We were using one of the popular industry solutions, however, it was expensive and had a systematic inaccuracy with billing that they said was something they couldn’t fix, so we needed to find a better way,” said Bowman.
That search led Bowman to Panoramix who was impressed with the platform at the first demo. “The templates in Panoramix and most importantly the accuracy of its reporting and billing made our lives so much easier,” Bowman says. “And when you factor in the price, Panoramix is clearly the best value in the industry.”
Bowman also appreciates the productivity enhancements in their back office from Panoramix. “We easily save 6-8 hours every quarter in our billing process with Panoramix, compared to our other system, and also experience at least a 25% reduction in time for our performance reporting process. Those efficiencies are extremely valuable to us, particularly with such a small staff.”
Beyond the technology, Bowman is particularly impressed with the service from Panoramix. “Their service is fantastic!” he says. “They are very attentive and I can always talk to someone to get a question answered, or help with customizing a report. That is so refreshing from our previous experience where the answer was always, ‘Sorry that is the way it is.’ With Panoramix, they never say that and always go the extra mile.”
