Financial Aurora, based in Austin, TX, is a dynamic advisory practice that serves as an independent fiduciary to its growing client base. Named for the “Financial Dawn” or “Financial Sunrise” of its clients’ finances, Financial Aurora strives to put its clients first in both its business and service model.
Founded in 2015 by Ahmad Adnan, a veteran financial advisor, Financial Aurora has been designed to be a different choice from the traditional financial services firms. “I built Financial Aurora to provide clients the best possible advice, service, and experience, and used client feedback and comments to construct the company,” said Ahmad. “Typical Wall Street firms charge fees on clients and advisors and are structured in order to support their bottom-line and/or stock price, not necessarily to support excellent client service. This setup leads to a conflicted business model and is a big reason I left to form Financial Aurora.”
Ahmad’s belief in the fiduciary model has translated to the technology he uses to service clients and manage his business. “Before we launched the firm, we did extensive due diligence, copious research, and countless demos of software to find the best fit for our goals and desire to put clients first.”
Some of the most important components Ahmad looked for in technology for his new business were performance reporting, portfolio management, and billing. “There were many choices and platforms for these features; however, they were exorbitant in price,” Ahmad said. “Then we saw Panoramix, and it was clear that it had the right functionality along with the best price; it was the best value.”
Ahmad appreciates the advanced technology behind the Panoramix system that provides flexibility and customization. “Advisors do billing in many different ways and can end up with a fairly complex process,” Ahmad notes. “With Panoramix, it has the flexibility to allow us to personalize our approach.” Additionally, according to Ahmad, Panoramix’s reports are client friendly, intuitive, and easy to use. “Their reports go a long way in helping with client comprehension, which makes our jobs easier.”
What makes Panoramix really stand out in Ahmad’s eyes is the company’s receptivity to advisor feedback to keep enhancing and improving the functionality, features, and capabilities. “The Panoramix tool is awesome because it continuously gets better. And, Panoramix has implemented our feedback and suggestions for improvement,” Ahmad says. “They’ve been amazingly receptive and quick to make changes. Where else can you provide a feature request or bug report and see it resolved so quickly? Nowhere.”
